avec Alain Monnier pour un petit guide en français sur la musique
traditionnelle irlandaise. Elle vise essentiellement ceux qui l'apprécie
déjà et qui aimerait en savoir un peu plus.
Tout choix de ce genre passe nécessairement à côté de
certaines choses, et nous en étions conscients. En outre, si la musique en
Irlande peut être 'jugée' sur un style personnel ou régional,etc., les éléments
sociaux, techniques ou politiques doivent également être pris en compte. Ceci
est donc une humble proposition d'enregistrements pour la plupart disponibles en
CD, bien que son arrivée ait réduit le choix. Certaines références
varient d'un pays à l'autre.
Here's a selection I compiled with Alain Monnier
for a small guide in French on Irish Music. It is mainly aimed at people
who know a little bit about Irish Music and who'd like to know a little
more.
Any attempt at choosing records is obviously
bound to miss a few points, and we were aware of that. Furthermore, if
music in Ireland can be 'judged' on a personal or regional style, etc.,
social, technical or political elements must also be taken into account.
This is therefore a very humble proposition of recordings mainly available
on CDs, although we know its arrival reduced the choice. Some references will differ according to the country you live
in.
